Community Engagement
Audubon Zoo Campers-Thursday, June 30
Astronaut Glover will deliver a 30 min live talk followed by one-on-one
engagement and lithograph signing with approximately 80 campers at the
Audubon Zoo. The campers are grades 2-7 and are highly interested in
discovering Earth, exploring nature and learning how life on board the
International Space Station differs from life on Earth.
Astronaut Glover will deliver a 30 min live talk with approximately 200
students at the Stennis Auditorium. The live student audience will be
comprised of students, grades 2-7, participating in the Stennis local Astro
Camp and students, grades 5-9, who are Astro Camp participants attending
the Gulf Coast Boys and Girls Clubs. The talk will also be live-streamed and
available for viewing by all Astro Camp sites in the additional 28 Youth
Serving Organizations in Jackson, MS, Orlando, FL, Houston TX, and
Huntsville, AL areas.

Community Outreach
Whole Foods’ Let’s Move Campers-Thursday, June 30
Astronaut Glover will deliver a 30-minute live talk with approximately 30
underserved children from ages 8-12 at the Goldring Center for Culinary
Medicine. Whole Foods, the Goldring Center for Culinary Medicine, SPROUT
NOLA and Broad Community Connections are joining forces and resources
to provide children with a free, authentic summer camp experience and the
desire is to complement the gardening and healthy cooking exercises with
creative learning and play.
As a Sponsor, NASA has three 20 minute presentations on the
Technology Stage with seating for 300.
